I own the Royal Berkey, and got PF2 (Fluoride filters) with it, you can’t be to careful when it comes to your water. Do a little research about what is considered “clean” water that comes through your kitchen tap. Then its not so carefree when you are giving it to your kids. 1st and foremost above EVERYTHING else, you need clean water. I will go thirsty all day if I have to because I only drink from the Berkey, I trust it that much and I feel a lot better for it these days too.

you need to prime it once unless you store the filter elements in a dusty place, then u might want to reprime it again.

    if there’s an emergency situation and u didn’t prime it yet…it seems you’re not very prepared….are u sure ur a survivalist ?

Do you only have to prime it once? What if there is an emergency situation and all water is cut off? How do you “prime” it then?
